C’ą̂ą́r

C’ą̂ą́r is a a priori language spoken by a fictional species of sapient corvids, which I call “daws” – the second element in “jackdaw”. I originally came up with the idea for the language while attending the eighth Language Creation Conference, with the plan to present on it at the following LCC. This ended up being the first digital LCC, where I could give my talk from the comfort of my apartment. It was very well-received, and a popular YouTube creator reached out to me to collaborate on a video adaptation of the talk, which was a great success. I have since started a series on my own YouTube channel called C’ą̂ą́r Morsels, which elucidates a little detail about the language in every episode.
